FollowingthesuccessoftheirfeaturedebutJennifer’sShadow(2004)–anexerciseinAmericanGothicsetinascarylandcalledArgentina–PabloParésandDanieldelaVegaworkedforaUScompanyonapost-mega-disasterwastelandzombiefilminwhichSouthAmericahadbeenturnedintoanall-purpose,all-materialsjunkyard,withtheundeadasthelasthumaneentitiesaround(forgetaboutthehumanshereee!). Theprojectnevermaterialised,butDiegoParés,Pablo’sbrother,startedtowriteanddrawacomicseriesbasedonthescreenplay–whichsofarremainsaruin,asonlypartswerefinishedandpublished.TheECishbeautyandballsofDiegoP.’slabouroflovehavenowbeencongeniallytransformedbythedirectorialduointoadelightfullyold-(1970s)schoollow-budgetproduction,closertoRomeroandDantethanFulciandLenzi.AndtheIFFRaudienceisinforthetreatoftreatstheygettoseethefilmandcanalsoenjoytheunfinishedcomicinanexhibition.
